Hydrane Lo

Hydrane Lo

Urban Artist, France / Peru

Born in 1988 in Paris, France. She currently lives and works between Paris and its suburbs.
Graduated from the École Nationale Supérieure d'Architecture de Paris-Belleville in 2015, she decided to devote herself to mural painting in parallel and created her first murals in Brazil alongside the graffiti artist Babs from UV-TPK. Upon returning to France, she continued by assisting the urban artist Stoul.

Her abstract style takes shape intuitively and automatically. Remaining enigmatic to her own eyes, she then connects with her Peruvian roots and delves into pre-Columbian history.
Hydrane découvre avec stupéfaction l’apparente «filiation» de son travail avec l’art sud-américain et avec les géoglyphes du désert de Nazca qu’elle se souvient avoir observés d’avion enfant.
Hydrane is amazed to discover the apparent "affiliation" of her work with South American art and with the geoglyphs of the Nazca Desert, which she remembers observing from a plane as a child. Imbued with a form of self-archaeology, her style is deeply connected to the culture of her ancestors: nourished by details revealing increasingly clear inspirations, it is also influenced by her architectural training. Both abstract and enigmatic, her work plays with scale and perception, from micro to macro, reexamining our human existence in the scale of the Universe.
